Today is Tanabata. Tanabata is a romantic day when Orihime and Hikoboshi, who can no longer meet across the Milky Way, meet only once a year. Every year around this time, we often see colorful strips of paper with wishes written on them and Tanabata decorations hung on bamboo leaves around town.
Today, I would like to introduce a dish recommended for summer in honor of Tanabata, a summer festival. As the temperature and humidity become higher and higher, it is the time of year when we tend to feel sluggish and lose our appetite. The first dish introduced here, "Tataki cucumber with ume plum paste" is a refreshing and easy-to-eat dish of cucumber, which is in season this time of year, dressed with ume plum paste.
