What do you order when you go to an izakaya? Izakaya restaurants offer a wide variety of dishes, but deep-fried food is probably the most popular among them. Fatty food is something that has a certain charm that makes you want to eat it, and it goes very well with alcohol.
In this issue, we would like to introduce our recommended fried food menu. Please feel free to order any of them.
 

The croquette is a monja.

This is the "Special Monja Croquette. The croquette is an unusual deep-fried dish that uses monja as its filling. Monja itself goes well with sake, and since it is made into croquettes, there is no reason why the sake won't go with it. Please enjoy them while they are still hot.
 

Tatsuta-age" is also available.

This is "Wakadori no Tatsuta-age (deep-fried young chicken). Tatsuta-age" is a dish whose name comes from the Tatsuta River in Nara Prefecture. It may seem similar to karaage, but the difference between karaage and tatsuta-age is that tatsuta-age is battered and deep-fried. It is seasoned with mirin and soy sauce before frying, so it can be enjoyed as is. We also recommend squeezing lemon juice on it if you like.
