Shirasu is in season twice a year, in spring and fall, and April through May is the spring season, when you can enjoy the fluffy texture of shirasu.

This salad is recommended this time of year, as it offers a good balance of sweetness and spiciness from the vegetables and flavor and saltiness from the shirasu (baby sardines). Two sizes are available according to the number of people using the dish.
