Hello, I am the PR manager for the Kyoto Ekimae branch of Rakuzo Utage, a private room restaurant.

 

We offer a wide variety of dishes using meat and fish. Our menu includes hearty dishes that are satisfying and perfect for enjoying drinks, so please be sure to order according to the occasion of your visit.

 

Dried hokke (hokke) overnight, a staple of snacks

Seared hokke, a staple of izakaya (Japanese style pub). The fatty hokke is so rich that it almost drips, making it a popular dish at our restaurant. Please enjoy it with a squeeze of lemon if you like. We recommend ordering it with sake or shochu. 640 yen (excluding tax).

 

Plenty of fat. Today's grilled kama (fish cakes)

Kama," as it is known in grilled tuna kama-yaki, is the part of tuna that is adjacent to the ootoro. It is characterized by its rich fatty marbling, similar to the fatty part of the big fatty tuna. Our restaurant offers "Today's Kama-yaki", which is grilled kama of the freshest fish of the day. The price is 690 yen (excluding tax).

In addition to the two items introduced here, there is also the "Seared vinegared mackerel" (890 yen, not including tax), which is made by quickly searing fatty vinegared mackerel to a savory finish, and the "Seared squid with sweet and spicy sauce" (690 yen, not including tax), which is grilled with a special sauce.
