When asked what is a classic izakaya dish, many people will think of dashimaki tamago. When asked, "What is a classic izakaya dish? It is such a standard dish that some people will probably reach for their chopsticks whenever they see it in front of them. We have arranged such dashimaki tamago in our restaurant. One such dish is the "Dashimaki W Tamago with Sweet Sauce" shown above. The combination of the sweet sauce and the richness of the raw egg gives the dish a different taste from the usual dashimaki tamago.
We recommend either eating it as is before breaking up the raw egg, or breaking it up and serving it with a raw egg mixed in! Enjoy it the way you like it.
