Now is the Season! Sakuraebi and Hatsugatsuo are now on the menu!

Hello, I am the PR person in charge of Rakuzo Osaki Center Building Store.

This time, we would like to introduce "Sakuraebi no Sashimi" and "Hatsu Gatsuo no Shio Tataki" which are on our spring menu. Both are exquisite dishes using ingredients that are in season in spring. We hope you will enjoy our dishes and feel the arrival of spring.

 

Spring has arrived! The ban on cherry shrimp fishing has been lifted!

There is a closed season for sakura shrimps, and they cannot be landed at any time. The cherry shrimp fishing season is only open twice a year, from late March to early June and from late October to late December. You can enjoy freshly caught sakura shrimps sashimi only for a very short period of time during the year. Please enjoy the "sakura shrimps sashimi" that can only be tasted now.

 

First bonito with a refreshing taste different from autumn

Many people may think of skipjack in the fall when they think of its season. Bonito is in season twice a year: in the fall when it is fatty, and in the spring when it is refreshing. Hatsu-gatsuo no salt tataki" is a dish in which seasonal hatsu-gatsuo is seared, tataki'd, and served with salt.

Speaking of bonito tataki, it is often served with ponzu (Japanese citrus juice) in urban areas, but in Kochi, the home of bonito tataki, it is most commonly served with salt. At our restaurant, we have prepared a salt blend of Setouchi floral salt and salted kelp.
