How about a glass of hot sake to warm you up in the cold season? | Rakuzo Utage Shibuya Ekimae Store

Hello, I am the PR person in charge of Rakuzo Utage Shibuya Ekimae Store.

It is getting cold in the mornings and evenings. In this season, it is good to take something warming for your body. Hot sake is a good choice for this season. When you hear the words "hot sake," you probably have an image of an old man, right?
Hot heating is a limited-time-only way to enjoy sake, available only during the cold season. Drinking sake hot will allow you to enjoy its aroma more widely and sharply.

Junmai and Honjozo sake are recommended for hot sake

There are various types of sake, such as junmai ginjo-shu and honjozo-shu, depending on the degree of rice polishing and the method of production. Junmai sake and honjozo sake are recommended for heating sake. Both types of sake are made with less than 70% polished rice, which allows the true flavor of the rice to come through. The aroma and sharpness of the original rice flavor is enhanced by heating sake.
On the other hand, junmai ginjo-shu and special honjozo sake with a high degree of rice polishing have a fruity aroma and a mild mouthfeel, and are best served cold or chilled.

Our best sake for hot heating are "Hakkaisan" and "Ichinokura" honmasozo sake. Urakasumi" in particular is a sake that has won a gold medal in the national hot sake heating contest.

It goes great with our signature seared dishes!
