We recommend a spring outing this year to Happoen in the Shinagawa area for hanami (cherry blossom viewing).

Happoen, a popular hanami spot in the Shinagawa area

Take a bus from the Takanawa Exit of Shinagawa Station, get off at "Shirokane Shogakko-mae" and walk about 1 minute.

Alternatively, the Happoen shuttle bus leaves from Shinagawa Station.

It is a famous Japanese garden created in the early Edo period (1603-1868). The name "Happoen" is said to have come from the fact that the garden is beautiful from all angles.

With approximately 90 cherry blossom trees, Happoen is usually at its best from late March to late April.
