Can Private Rooms Solve the Problems Faced by Banquet Planners? The Secrets to Choosing the Perfect Set Menu

Hello. I’m the PR representative for RAKUZO, the private dining restaurant in Utsunomiya’s Ikegami district.

As autumn deepens and the trees begin to change color, we’ve entered that time of year. Today, we’d like to discuss the best solutions for challenges you face when planning a banquet—such as “choosing a venue” and “managing your budget”—and how our private dining rooms and diverse course menus can help address them.

The Best Solution for Private Rooms Based on Group Size and Purpose

The first step to ensuring a successful banquet is securing a venue that’s the right size for the number of guests. We offer a wide range of options, from tables for two to private rooms for eight, private rooms with sunken kotatsu, tatami rooms for ten, and private rooms that can accommodate up to 18 guests. Table seating is ideal for quiet conversations among small groups, while private rooms with sunken kotatsu are perfect for stretching out and relaxing. Additionally, for larger gatherings, utilizing tatami rooms or private rooms that accommodate up to 18 guests allows you to create an environment where you can focus on conversation without worrying about your surroundings, all while maintaining a sense of togetherness. Choosing the space that best suits your group size and purpose is the key to ensuring a highly satisfying banquet experience.

How the Course Simplifies Budget Management

For event planners, providing high-quality cuisine within budget is a key challenge. Our restaurant offers a variety of set menus to meet diverse needs. From the “Taste Course,” designed for a casual celebration, to the “Japanese-Western Fusion Course,” which creates a luxurious experience, we offer a range of plans consisting of 8 to 9 courses. If you’d like to share a warm, cozy time gathered around a hot pot, the “White Offal Hot Pot Course” and “Taiwanese Offal Hot Pot Course” are ideal choices. You can also choose from plans such as the “Four Seasons Kaiseki Course” and the “Sukiyaki Course.” All of these courses include a 2-hour all-you-can-drink package, and since budgets can be clearly set in advance, the system is designed to allow event planners to manage their banquets with peace of mind. By flexibly combining plans to suit the preferences of your guests, you can create a special banquet that balances value for money with guest satisfaction.

The Quality of a Party Made Possible by an All-You-Can-Drink Plan

We offer two all-you-can-drink plans that can make or break the quality of your banquet: the “Standard” plan, featuring approximately 60 varieties, and the “Premium” plan, featuring approximately 100 varieties. By selecting the plan that best suits your guests’ preferences and the purpose of the event, you can fine-tune the flavor profile to perfection. For example, you can pair a crisp, clean drink with rich, fatty dishes and a full-bodied, aromatic one with mild, dashi-based flavors. You’ll be able to choose the perfect drink from a wide variety of options based on the mood of the day and the progression of the meal. By breaking free from preconceived notions and discovering your own unique pairings, the process itself will elevate your dining experience into a richer and more intellectually stimulating one. The ability to enjoy such a high degree of freedom in pairing while maintaining excellent value for money is one of the main reasons our restaurant is so popular.
