Introducing our brand name shochu! | Rakuzo Utage Yaesu

Hello, I am the PR person in charge of Rakuzo Utage Yaesu Store.

We offer a wide variety of alcoholic beverages such as beer, highballs, sours, and sake, but of course we also focus on shochu. Why not try our brand-name shochu on the rocks, with water, or over hot water, or however you prefer to drink it, along with delicious Japanese cuisine made with seasonal ingredients? In this issue, we would like to introduce some of our signature shochu brands.

Tomino Hozan

One of the imo-jochu (potato shochu) that is said to have led the popularity of authentic shochu is thisTomino HozanIt is. Tominohozan is a popular shochu with a sweet, soft sweetpotato aroma and a beautiful mineral aroma that renews the image that sweetpotato shochu inevitably has a distinctive smell. The Kogane Sengan used for the ingredients is a high quality sweetpotato that has been treated with organic fertilizers, the brewing water is "Houmeisui" from Satsuma Bongsan, and the malted rice is "Gohyakumangoku," which is suitable for sake brewing, as well as yellow malted rice.

This unusually named shochu was originally launched as a sake makerZuitaka ShumeiIt is a sake created jointly by the "Aso Shochu Company" and a shochu manufacturer. The barley shochu "Nanjakanja" that we serve at our restaurant is made with water from the Aso subsoil.100%The taste is well-balanced, with a sugar-like sweetness in the midst of a crisp, alcoholic stimulus. It has a soft taste without the peculiarities of rice shochu, and can be served on the rocks, with water or hot water, or any way you like to drink it.It brings out the flavor.

How was it? This time we introduced two of our signature shochu brands, "Tominohozan" and "Nanjakanja". Both of these shochu are characterized by their mild taste that goes well with Japanese food, and they match well with the dishes served at our restaurant. We hope you will try the marriage of Japanese food and shochu at least once.
