In recent years, thanks to the development of cultivation and preservation techniques, a variety of foods can be enjoyed throughout the year. However, each ingredient has its own season and tastes best when eaten at that time of the year. At our restaurant, we offer a wide variety of dishes using spring ingredients. In this issue, we would like to introduce some of our most recommended dishes.
The first food I would like to recommend as a spring ingredient is asari. It is surprisingly little known, but did you know that asari are in season in spring? As clams are about to spawn, their flesh is very fertile and full of flavor. At our restaurant, we offer such seasonal scallions and spring vegetables in our "Spring-colored Green Pizza - Japanese Genovese - 680 yen (excluding tax). The flavor of Oba is pleasant and goes well with beer and other beverages.
Next, we recommend the "Sakuraebi Sashimi" for 680 yen (excluding tax). Sakura prawns are only available as sashimi during the period when fishing is open. As the name suggests, the clear, bright cherry blossom color whets the appetite. Why not try this precious sashimi while fully enjoying the aroma of the spring sea?
