This is the time of year when we eagerly await the blooming of the cherry blossoms.
Spring is the season of farewells and encounters. As the school year comes to an end, many of you may be leaving for a new world.
Why not spend a pleasant time drinking delicious shochu at a farewell party to say goodbye?
Shochu can be divided into three main types: potato, barley, and rice shochu. There are also shochu made from other ingredients, which are sometimes called "variant shochu.
Depending on each ingredient, the taste and aroma of shochu can be completely different.
Rice shochu has a rich rice flavor.
Sake is a brewed liquor made from rice and other ingredients, while shochu is a distilled liquor and different in type, but rice shochu has a ginjo aroma like sake.
The same is true for the slight taste of rice, and sake lovers may also like the rice shochu.
29 (twenty-nine) A rice shochu made in Kyoto Prefecture. This unusual shochu was created to go well with meat dishes. It is a refreshing shochu that does not interfere with strong-flavored dishes and has a sake-like flavor.
referent This brown sugar shochu is produced on Amami Oshima Island in Kagoshima Prefecture. The brown sugar used in this shochu tends to make it sweet and rich, but the sweetness is moderate, making it an easy-to-drink shochu. We recommend this shochu for those who are new to shochu.
Shochu is a distilled liquor with a high alcohol content.
Please be careful not to drink too much, for example, with a moderate amount of cold water in between.
