Hello. I am the PR person in charge of the Matsumoto Ekimae branch of Rakuzo Utage.
We are “Rakuzo Utage Matsumoto Ekimae,” a restaurant located in front of Matsumoto Station that offers sophisticated, traditional Japanese private dining rooms. Today, we’d like to introduce two luxurious, top-tier courses that showcase our chefs’ skills and feature generous portions of carefully selected seasonal ingredients.

This kaiseki course, representing the pinnacle of authentic Japanese cuisine, is the perfect way to begin a celebration on a special day. In addition to the exceptional freshness and flavor of our “Special Selection 5-Variety Sashimi Platter,” the course features an abundance of seafood delicacies, including hamachi (pike conger) simmered in a light broth after being freshly killed, and tempura featuring the highly prized “nodoguro” (blackthroat seaperch) crisply fried alongside jumbo shrimp.
For the main course, we serve a “beef misuji steak,” a rare cut. After savoring the delicious, tender meat, round out your meal with our plump “unagi hitsumabushi”—truly a blissful dining experience. We promise you a truly exquisite evening as you leisurely enjoy a night in Shinshu.

This is a lavish hospitality course that blends traditional Japanese culinary techniques with modern touches. It begins with refreshing appetizers such as conger eel in jelly and yuzushita soba, followed by a series of exquisite dishes—including snow crab tossed in rich crab miso—that pair perfectly with sake.
The highlight of this course is the main dish: “Kuroge Wagyu Steak.” The rich, deep flavor unique to carefully selected Wagyu beef is truly exceptional. The meal concludes in style with the “Chef’s Selection Sushi.” These colorful dishes are sure to add a touch of elegance to your conversation with someone special.
